Katya Jones has shared her fears about her 'maternal clock' ticking as she nears turning 35. The professional dancer on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, who was previously married to fellow cast member Neil Jones for six years, admitted her concerns about love and motherhood during a podcast.

Asked whether the dancer had thought of time affecting her chances of having children, she responded: "Yes. Modern females of our age, we can have careers, pursue our passions. Be happy and fulfilled on our own. However, on the other side, it doesn't stop our maternal clock or our ageing process, unfortunately. So how do you balance those two things? ".

Her worries were made public while speaking with friend and Olympic snowboarder, Aimee Fuller, on her Monday Mile podcast during a holiday in Australia. Not only did they discuss balancing careers and motherhood, but they also touched upon the importance of female friendships, reports the Mirror.

The conversation followed after Katya found herself in the midst of internet trolls due to being captured kissing comedian Seann Walsh back in 2018, who was then her dance partner on Strictly, but was also involved in a relationship elsewhere.

The incident happened shortly before her split with ex-husband Neil, who has now welcomed a daughter named Havana with Love Island contestant Chyna Mills last year.

The Strictly star, who last graced the dance floor with Casualty's Nigel Harman, mentioned that she has also detached herself from social media trolls. She explained: "I have totally learned to disconnect from it. What matters to me is us walking right now, you knowing who I am.

"My family knowing and loving me for who I am. But would I like to add value to the world? Yes. And I already do it in some ways. I think I make people happy because that's what Strictly does."
