Dara Ó Briain has thanked a Scouser as he shared his kind gesture.

The Irish comedian regularly tours across the world with his stand up shows and is renowned for his role as presenter of programmes such as Mock the Week. Away from the stage, the 52-year-old is a passionate Arsenal fan and was disappointed at the weekend as the Gunners' title chase suffered an unexpected blow when they were defeated 2-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates.

Arsenal are in a three horse title race this season, along with Manchester City and Liverpool. The Reds' hopes of winning the league were also dashed earlier that afternoon when they were beaten 1-0 by Crystal Palace at Anfield.
