Harlan Coben's new Netflix show Missing You has added a number of new cast members, including The Missing's James Nesbitt.

The upcoming series, which was announced earlier this year, follows a detective (Rosalind Eleazar) whose world is turned upside down when her presumed-missing husband turns up on a dating app.

Netflix has now confirmed a few new cast additions, including Nesbitt in the role of Calligan, as well as Busted member Matt Willis as Darryl.

Top Boy's Ashley Walters has also been officially confirmed as Josh Buchanan, having been spotted filming earlier this year.

The series' full synopsis reads: "Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan's fiancé Josh - the love of her life - disappeared and she's never heard from him since.

"Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh's reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past."

As well as the aforementioned stars, Missing You will star Fool Me Once's Richard Armitage, EastEnders' Jessica Plummer, The Rings of Power's Lenny Henry, Inside No.9's Steve Pemberton and Sexy Beast's Paul Kaye.

Speaking recently to Digital Spy, Armitage suggested that the series could drop early next year.

"I think it will be in the same slot [as Fool Me Once] next year, I think it will be on January 1. At a guess!" he said.

"I'm playing the detective chief inspector opposite an old friend of mine, who I did Uncle Vanya with, Rosalind Eleazar, who is the lead actress in this show. And she is brilliant, she's absolutely brilliant."

Missing You will stream on Netflix.
