Several of The Beatles' former homes are available to stay in as Airbnbs.

The four normal lads, from Liverpool suburbs, would go on to change the trajectory of music and pop culture and now, fans can stay in their childhood homes and see where their stories began.

Both of the properties are filled with Fab Four memorabilia and have period features from when the singers called the house their home.

The childhood home of George Harrison is available for people to stay in as an Airbnb.

The Beatles guitarist moved into the terraced house at 25 Upton Green in Speke in 1949 when he was six years old, and remained there until the 1960s. It was during his time at the house George met Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and the three held some of their first rehearsals there.

Wanting to share his passion with other music fans, Ken Lambert, from New Hampshire, bought the house when it went under the hammer with Omega Auctions in 2022. Since then, he has added a mural on the outside of the rear garden and added props throughout the rooms.

The three-bedroom family home, which was sold at auction for £171,000, still bears some of the period features from when the Harrisons were residents including its bath, sink, some original doors, hanging rails in wardrobes and outbuildings complete with original doors and decor.

Ken explained how the Harrisons lived in this terrace home around the same time as The Beatles were starting their journey to stardom and success. This property, located in a cul-de-sac residential neighbourhood, is around 20 minutes outside of Liverpool.

As part of the experience, guests can stay in George’s former bedroom and play on multiple guitars that sit in the floral-decorated living room where the Fab Four rehearsed. Guests can also listen to old Beatles albums on the retro standing record player and get a picture beside a young George heading off to play in an early gig for The Quarrymen.

Dotted around the house are photos of George growing up and the Fab Four performing during their early days.

The property can even be booked as early as this weekend - Friday, May 24 - for a two-night-minimum stay. The cost ranges from £200 to £500 depending on the date.

John Lennon

A house where John Lennon used to live as a child has been converted into an Airbnb and guests stay there.

The Grade II listed building on Allerton Road was owned by George Smith, the husband of John Lennon's Aunt Mimi. The musician stayed at the home as an infant with his mother, Julia and after his mother's death would frequently visit the house and his family.

Kelley Kupfer - who is from America - bought the property on Allerton Road, Woolton by chance after wanting to fulfil a bucket list after a severe illness.

The retired nurse suffered from a brain tumour a number of years ago which left her blind for nine months and affected her speech.

As part of her bucket list, the 60-year-old went on a guided tour and shortly afterwards was told to meet Jackie Spencer - a Beatles expert in Liverpool. After a guided tour of Liverpool's top Beatles hotspots, Kelley wondered why nobody had started an AirBnB to let people into the homes.

It was then in 2016 the property went on the market for a cool £325,000 with Whitegate’s Woolton branch and she snapped it up.

The retired nurse has filled the house with carefully thought memorabilia and some never-seen-before pictures provided by Lennon's family.

The furniture also is set in the way The Beatles' family had it when they lived there with frames and plaques to explain the artefacts placed around the home.

In the back garden, there is also a soundproof recording studio, where bands and artists can record their songs or just want to chill out and play some tunes.

The rooms have also been given titles after family members names who lived there.
