Despite its dedicated fanbase, when Zack Snyder's much-anticipated comic book film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit cinemas last year, it wasn't exactly well received by critics.

Among the fallout, the #SadAffleck meme was born when a YouTuber laid Simon & Garfunkel's 'Sound of Silence' over an interview where Ben Affleck looked downtrodden and, well... sad, as Henry Cavill talked about the film's negative reviews.

In case your mind needs refreshing...

Anyway, Affleck has FINALLY addressed the Sad Afflleck meme that went viral and proved to be more of a hit with many people than the movie itself.

Appearing on BBC Radio 1 to promote his new movie Live by Night, the 44-year-old was asked about what he learnt as a director and actor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

His response? It taught him to never let Henry Cavill do the talking again...

Affleck joked: "It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don't say anything and they can lay Simon & Garfunkel tracks over it.

"That's one thing I learned."
