Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has put captain Troy Deeney and more of his team-mates through a gruelling virtual spin class as the squad look to keep fit during the coronavirus lockdown.

Premier League matches have been postponed until at least April 30 as the UK comes to grips with the outbreak of coronavirus.

Per government guidelines, players are having to stay at home and as a result they are unable to train as normal.

Many have their own personal gyms to keep fit, while they can still go outside once a day for a run or other exercise.

Watford goalkeeper Foster is a renowned cycling fanatic, so much so that he goes away every summer with his friends for a cycling holiday.

The lockdown is not stopping the 36-year-old going out for his daily rides, but he is now subjecting his team-mates to the gruelling punishment too.

Foster this week led a group of his team-mates, including Deeney, Andre Gray and Craig Cathcart, through a virtual spin class.

Dressed in his full Watford cycling lycra, Foster put the players through their paces in a 30-minute interval spin class.

While many Premier League squads are training independently, Watford is working with club sponsor Sportsbet.io to ensure team fitness and morale stays high during these unprecedented times, by using the latest video technology.

Promoting a strong ‘Stay Home’ message, the likes of defender Adrian Mariappa can be heard encouraging fans to stay safe and indoors during these challenging times.
