Ben Platt explains why he threw stag do months before Noah Galvin wedding

Ben Platt has explained why he's already celebrated his stag do despite his wedding to Noah Galvin taking place later this year.

The Theater Camp actors are planning to walk down the aisle this autumn, but they have already thrown their pre-wedding bash.

During an appearance on the Table Manners podcast, Ben explained that they had to have the stag do, or bachelor party, early because his residency at the Palace Theatre in New York kicks off later this month.

"Scheduling is tough because I'm playing the Palace on Broadway for three weeks, I'm doing a residency of my music, and then I'm doing a tour for the summer and then we're getting married after that," he explained. "So I had to do the bachelor (party) before all that began. You know, because when you're singing, you can't go hard. So I wanted to go hard."

The Pitch Perfect star's residency runs between 28 May and 15 June. Three days later, he is set to launch The Honeymind Tour, which travels across North America until late July.

Sharing details about the bash, the 30-year-old revealed he and Noah stayed in a New York City apartment with their friends and held "a cast party themed party".

"We had cocktails in water bottles and danced to music from high school. My friend Nick made me a really intense, very involved scavenger hunt with lots of puzzles and things," he divulged. "Then we went dancing at this place called Joyface in New York, which is really really fun. They play a lot of great music, like ABBA, '70s, gay stuff."

Ben and Noah, also 30, began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in November 2022.
