The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards have come and gone, marking an end to another year of great music.
Billie Eilish was the biggest winner of the night, taking home five awards including a sweep of the “big four” categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Album of the Year. The 18-year-old dethroned Taylor Swift as the youngest person in Grammy history to take home Album of the Year, and the first artist since 1981 to win the “big four” in one night.
The women reigned supreme with R&B sensation Lizzo taking home three awards, including Best Pop Solo performance for her smash hit, “Truth Hurts” as well as Best Urban Contemporary Album for “Cuz I Love You.”
While the gramophones have been handed out and engraved, there’s still one more award to be handed out: best and worst dressed.
We asked Yahoo Canada readers to cast their vote, and help us decide who hit all the right notes on the Grammy red carpet.
Best dressed: Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen ruled the red carpet in a tangerine gown with plunging neckline and thigh-high slit by Yanina Couture. The “Cravings” author and model impressed readers earning more than 32 per cent of reader votes.
Runner-up: Ariana Grande
Although she went home empty handed, the “Thank U, Next” singer’s over-the-top Giambattista Valli made a lasting impression on Yahoo Canada readers. Grande’s dove grey ballgown was a red-carpet stand-out, with more than 23 per cent of readers declaring the dramatic look their favourite.
Worst dressed: Joy Villa
The electronica singer-songwriter’s American-kitsch missed the mark for Yahoo Canada readers. More than 52 per cent of voters chose Villa and her MAGA couture the worst red carpet moment of the night.
Runner-up: Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra’s ill-fitting bohemian-inspired gown by Ralph & Russo was a major red carpet fail to Yahoo Canada readers. Chopra’s fashion faux-pas earned her 35 per cent of reader votes for the worst dressed star of the night.
