The best events and things to do this week, August 10-14

London is in the middle of one of the biggest heat waves in living memory, and it’s thirsty work.

Thankfully, the capital’s rooftop bars and beer gardens are open and welcoming people back for a pint or two in the sun. The capital’s green spaces are packed with socially distanced sunbathers, too.

Elsewhere, more and more venues are opening up and staying Covid-secure, with mini-golf, tourist favourites and exhibitions all ready to check out this week.

Here's our pick of what to get up to over the next few days.

Mayfair’s Indian fine dining restaurant is launching a brand new bottomless lunch and dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday. Head down to Berkeley Square to try the Thali feasting platter, which includes poppadoms, curry dishes, dal tadka, spiced seabass, saag aloo, Rasmalai dessert and more. Guests can enjoy second, third or fourth helpings of dishes, as well as unlimited wine or Cobra beer for 90 minutes. The restaurant is taking part in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which means diners can enjoy the deal for £23 per person instead of £33. There’s a bottomless brunch to check out on Saturday, too, costing £48 per person.
