Best Harry Potter gifts in the UK: from Pandora to Primark, the magical Christmas gifts for kids and adults

What’s one way to make the most magical time of year even more enchanting?

A Harry Potter collab of course! The enduring popularity of J.K Rowling’s boy wizard means brands are still coming up with genius collections inspired by all things magical, even though it’s been 13 years since the final book was published.

From cool kicks at Vans in the Hogwarts house colours to Pandora’s charming charms, there’s a chamber of secrets-worth of Potter-inspired merch to gift this Christmas.

We’ve rounded up seven of the best tie-ups (seven is the most magical number, after all) to make it easier than ever to shop for the child HP mega-fan in your life.

Looking for a gift for an adult Potter lover? Many of the collabs listed below have adult products in their offering too, so they’re worth checking out even if you don’t have little ones to shop for.

Vans x Harry Potter

Vans knows it's never too early to step into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The footwear brand has reimagined their iconic shoes with Hogwarts colours and Potter branding with sizes for everyone from toddlers to adults.

We're pleased to see that most of the items are unisex, such as the Daily Prophet Comfycush Era Shoes and the Golden Snitch Old Skool V Shoes.

Mini Boden x Harry Potter

We're really impressed with Boden's high-quality Harry Potter collection. In fact our only criticism is that they don't make them in adult sizes. Still, it offers a fabulous chance to kit your little ones in a medley of smart and casualwear.

Take the Forbidden Forest Dress; patterned with references to the enchanted woodland by Hogwarts School, at a glance it could be mistaken for a Liberty print.

There's also rompers for infants, which promise to make them cuter than they already are in designs inspired by Hegwig and the Boy Who Lived.

For ultimate Christmas Day squeals though, our money's on this beautiful velvet Protego Maxima Magical Cloak, covered in Hogwarts embroidery and shimmering gold sequins.

Pandora x Harry Potter

We wrote about the news that Pandora released a whole collection dedicated to Harry Potter a few weeks ago, perfectly timed for Christmas shopping season. The 12-piece collection includes a Snitch-themed bracelet and a selection of charms inspired by the books and movies.

There’s also an 18ct gold-plated Golden Snitch Pendant, which we’re particularly taken with. Suspended on a matching necklace, it’s a gift we’d be thrilled to unwrap come Christmas morning.

LEGO x Harry Potter

Ideal for kids and big kids alike, LEGO's Harry Potter sets allow you to relive the magical moments of the series. Go all out with a Hogwarts Castle set, or have your minifigures take part in a Christmas game with the Quidditch Match kit.

There's even an Expecto Patronum set, inspired by scenes where the magical shield was conjured to block lurking Dementors. Genius, as always.

S'well x Harry Potter

image

It's never too early to instil good habits on your school-age children and teens. S'well has come up trumps with a small but delightful range of reusable water bottles covered with motifs from the global phenomenon.

Choose from 'The Boy Who Lived' and a Hogwarts bottle, both able to keep drinks cold for 24 hours, or hot for 12 hours.

Argos: The Harry Potter Collection

image

A great one-stop-shop for all manner of gifts, Argos is home to a sizeable selection of Harry Potter products. Get everything from Harry Potter headphones for kids to the Harry Potter Deluxe Stationery Set, ready for their return to school in the New Year.

Our favourite? The Harry Potter Golden Snitch Jar which thanks to the light inside, can be used as a night light for children.

Primark x Harry Potter

The budget fashion and homeware store has a reputation of launching tie-ups, most notably with Disney and Warner Bros.

But if you’ve ever darkened the doorway of the Tottenham Court Road branch, you’ve probably seen an entire wing of the shop reserved for Harry Potter goods. There’s more than you can possibly imagine, from Hogwarts house PJs and Christmas decorations to cabin bags on wheels, stationery, socks and dresses.

It’s wildly popular with tourists and Londoners alike, all hoping to take home a magical souvenir that won’t break the bank. Unfortunately it’s not available to shop online, so the only thing for it is to brave the crowds.

Good luck, you’re far braver souls than us.
