Wondering what to watch this weekend? Well this week has seen a number of interesting films becoming available on streaming platforms.
There's something for every type of film fan, whether they're looking for a scare, to learn, or to enjoy a fun family film during a cosy night in — Sky, Disney+, Apple TV+ and Paramount+ have it all.
So, without further ado, here is Yahoo’s guide to the movies new to streaming.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish | Sky Cinema and Now (pick of the week)
Antonio Banderas returned to voice Puss in Boots for what may be his final adventure, finding the beloved Shrek character after he had burned through eight of his nine lives.
With just one life left, the swashbuckling feline goes on an adventure to the mythical land of Last Wish in order to try and recuperate all nine of his lives.
Full of stunning visuals, a heartfelt narrative, and of course the incredible voice acting talent of Banderas, Harvey Guillen, and Florence Pugh, this one movie you won't want to miss.
Appendage | Disney+
For those keen for a more terrifying movie night, Disney+ have released the new horror film Appendage which follows a fashion designer whose dark thoughts grow into a sinister creature.
The black comedy takes the body horror genre to new heights and brings an interesting perspective on mental health and how society should deal with it.
The Pigeon Tunnel | Apple TV+
John le Carré wasn't always the author of critically-acclaimed espionage books like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, before that he was just David Cornwell.

But don't be fooled into thinking le Carré didn't lead an interesting life before becoming an author, he was a spy and worked for both MI5 and MI6 and a new Apple TV+ film examines his life story.
Scream 6 | Paramount+
The newest film in the Scream franchise is finally coming to Paramount+, the film series' streaming home.
Set in New York City, the film follows several of Ghostface's past victims as they find themselves terrorised by the serial killer once more, and they have to do everything they can to defeat the monster of their past.
The best films to watch on TV this weekend
If streaming services aren’t your thing, don’t worry, because there will be plenty of movies to watch on Freeview TV this weekend as well.
Amongst the highlights of the weekend include Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is airing on Channel 4 on Saturday, while Film4 is screening Martin Scorsese's The Departed the same day.
On Sunday, horror film fans can enjoy The Babadook on BBC Three, while Will Smith's blockbuster hit Independence Day is screening on Film4.
