The best UK TV to watch this week from Love Island to Arnold
From the Britain's Got Talent final to The Weeknd's controversial HBO drama, there's a busy week on telly ahead
On UK TV this coming week ITV sees one of its biggest variety shows — Britain's Got Talent — come to an end only for the newest season of Love Island to launch.
Elsewhere, the BBC is sending machines into the ocean to learn about the lives of aquatic creatures, Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting personal for Netflix, and Disney+ is premiering an exciting new murder mystery for their subscribers.

Sunday, 4 June 7.30pm: Britain's Got Talent grand final | ITV 1
It's all come down to this, the top 10 acts from Britain's Got Talent will be bringing their best performances to the Hammersmith Apollo live on Sunday night in a bid to win a spot on the Royal Variety Show and a grand prize of £250,000.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be on hand as hosts, while judges Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell will offer their insight but it is up to the public to decide who will win.
Sunday, 4 June 7.30pm: Spy in the Ocean | BBC 1
The BBC will be taking viewers deep beneath the waves in its new docu-series, where hidden cameras will be used to provide a new unique perspective of marine life.
With cameras hidden in a robots designed to look like a squid, whale, and even a monkey, the four-part series will no doubt be a fascinating watch for nature lovers. Doctor Who fans will also be delighted to learn that David Tennant is on hand to narrate the documentary.
Monday, 5 June 9.00pm: The Idol | Sky Atlantic/NOW
HBO's The Idol was marred by controversy long before its release, from a complete overhaul of the story and change of director to the series being criticised for its gratuitous sexual content, but viewers will get the chance to see for themselves what it's all about when the show premieres on Sky Atlantic.

Staring Lily-Rose Depp as pop star Jocelyn, who is struggling to find herself again after a tragic death in her family. She then becomes enamoured with nightclub owner Tedros (Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd), who brings her into his dark world.
Monday, 5 June 9.00pm: Love Island | ITV 2
ITV's hit reality series Love Island is back for its summer series, and the contestants looking for romance are heading to back to the villa to do so.

The show will have its big launch on Monday, 5 June before airing every night, with the exception of Saturday, until the show's final. But before then, expect the sun-kissed singletons to get embroiled with all sorts of drama while they try and find love.
Wednesday, 7 June: Arnold | Netflix
Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking back at his prolific career in a three-part documentary series for Netflix, which will see him reflect on both the highs and lows of his life.
From his humble beginnings to the controversies that he has dealt with, this honest look at the Austrian Oak's legacy is a must-see for fans of the actor.
Wednesday, 7 June: Saint X | Disney+
For those looking for a new murder mystery fix, Disney+ has the show for you: Saint X. The psychological drama is based on Alexis Schaitkin's bestselling novel of the same name, and it promises to subvert the girl-gone-missing genre.
Saint X focuses on the unexplained death of a young woman while on holiday with her family in the Caribbean, and her younger sister's determination to find out the truth.
Thursday, 8 June: Significant Other | ITVX
Significant Other follows Sam (Youssef Kerkour) and Anna (Katherine Parkinson), neighbours who meet under unexpected circumstances. Sam is attempting to take his own life but is interrupted when Anna starts to have a heart attack, meaning they have to wait together til help arrives.
The six-part drama is a dark comedy about two people finding hope and love again, and it looks to be a fascinating, funny look at the meaning of life.
Friday, 9 June: The Crowded Room | Apple TV+
Tom Holland tackles a darker role than he has previously had in The Crowded Room, a new limited series in which he plays a man involved in a shooting in New York City in 1979 who tells his lift story to a curious interrogator.

The thriller, which Holland also produced, is a star-studded affair with Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum and the first three episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ from 9 June.
Also out this week
Other notable shows that will be released this coming week include Guz Khan's Man Like Mobeen season 4, which premieres on BBC Three on Thursday, 8 June and A Wright Family Holiday. The new travel docu-series follows Mark Wright and his family as they travel to various locations, and it launches on BBC 1 on 8 June.
