Beyonce reunites with Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland for new video

<p>The star's eight-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter also features on the 2019 track, from her recently released visual album Black Is King.</p><p>In a statement released to Good Morning America, <strong><a href="https://news.sky.com/topic/beyonce-5622" target="_blank">Beyonce</a> </strong>said it was important to her to represent "all different shades of brown" in the six-minute film.</p><p>Directed by Jenn Nkiru, the video features debutantes in striking ballgowns.</p><p>"We wanted every character to be shot in a regal light - Jenn Nkiru came up with the black debutantes," Beyonce said in her statement.</p><p>"It was important that we are all in this together and we're all celebrating each other."</p><p><a href="https://news.sky.com/topic/naomi-campbell-8585" target="_blank"><strong>Campbell</strong></a>, Nyong'o and Rowland - who recently opened up about the <a href="https://news.sky.com/story/kelly-rowland-opens-up-about-difficulties-of-being-compared-to-beyonce-12029494" target="_blank"><strong>difficulties of being compared to her superstar former bandmate</strong></a> - are name-checked in the lyrics, and the song also features WizKid and Saint Jhn.</p><p>"Pose like a trophy when they Naomi walking/ She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin," Beyonce sings.</p><p>"Pretty like Lupita when the cameras close in/ Drip broke the levee when my Kelly's Rowland."</p> <p>Black Is King, which was released on <strong><a href="https://news.sky.com/topic/disney-6932" target="_blank">Disney</a> </strong>+ in July, is based on the music from The Lion King: the Gift - the soundtrack to the 2019 remake of Disney's 1994 animated classic.</p><p>It is Beyonce's third visual album, following Beyonce in 2013 and Lemonade in 2016.</p><p>The 38-year-old mother-of-three, who is married to rapper <a href="https://news.sky.com/topic/jay-z-5623" target="_blank"><strong>Jay-Z</strong></a>, formed Destiny's Child with Rowland in the 1990s, with Michelle Williams replacing LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett to form the group's best-known line-up.</p><p>After numerous hits including Say My Name, Survivor and Bootylicious, the band called it a day in 2006, but reunited on stage during Beyonce's set at Coachella in 2018.</p>
