The main cast of The Big Bang Theory will still be raking it in once the show ends next year.

Sheldon Cooper actor Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar and Melissa Rauch have all reaped the financial benefits of appearing in the sitcom, and even though Big Bang will finish with its current twelfth season, the money isn't set to stop rolling in.

According to Metro, Parsons, Cuoco and Galecki all own shares worth one percent of Big Bang's total earnings for Warner Bros year on year, which is believed to be around the $1 billion mark. For UK readers that's a whopping £784,600,00!

Big Bang cast salaries have been widely reported for years, but this new insight highlights just how lucrative being involved with a show of this stature can be. It's a money spinner, even if you're not working on it anymore.

Meanwhile, creator Chuck Lorre has spoken of how hard ending the show had hit the cast and crew, noting: "The years pass and you celebrate birthdays and you know the other day we had a little birthday celebration for [co-stars] Kaley Cuoco and for Kevin Sussman and both times each of them said, 'You know this will be the last birthday I celebrate on The Big Bang Theory set'.

"And you hear that and you go from singing songs and blowing out candles to getting all choked up. You start to eat cake but then you're thinking of everything you'll miss".

The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK.
