Big Brother 2016: Former X Factor Wannabe Katie Waissel Set To Become A Housemate
The new series of Big Brother launches on Tuesday (June 7), and so far, we know that there will be two houses, but who will become the residents of these properties?
Speculation has been rife, with one major rumour suggesting that one house will be filled with celebrity housesmates, and the other with members of the celebrities families and/or friends – both unaware of the opposing situation.
If this turns out to be correct, then former X Factor contestant Katie Waissel might become one of the housemates over on the ‘celebrity’ side, as Channel 5 bosses are reportedly convinced that she would help to boost ratings.

A ‘Big Brother insider’ told the Daily Star: “Katie will make for compelling viewing because she is such a character.”
Katie first found fame back in 2010, when she appeared on The X Factor and became one of the most talked-about contestants in the history of the show.
She placed seventh in the singing competition, but has struggled to forge a music career for herself ever since.

With Katie being known for her troubles both on-screen and off-screen, the source added: “She is bound to divide opinion just like she did on The X Factor. Producers are hoping she will open up about the tough time she had while on The X Factor and her other issues.
“Celebrity Big Brother always gets bigger ratings, so bosses thought getting a few reality stars for the ‘normal’ series is likely to make for a bigger talking point and push viewing figures up.”

Other names being linked to Big Brother 2016 include dominatrix Natalie Rowe, a model who apparently slept with Justin Bieber, footballer Olivier Giroud’s ex-lover, MTV Ex On The Beach star Connor Hunter and X Factor reject Ryan Ruckledge.
The new series of Big Brother launches on Tuesday, 7th June at 9pm on Channel 5.
