Big Brother has returned to the small screen for the first time in five years on ITV1.

Viewers can tune into watch the rest of the series on 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.The new series has had a complete makeover, including a new house after the original location in Elstree was demolished in 2019.

All eyes will be on the housemates 24/7 — thanks to the live television cameras and personal audio microphones.

Former Strictly Come Dancing finalist AJ Odudu and E4 presenter Will Best take on the hosting duties, and the bubbly pair will introduce the nation to the new housemates who are entering the Big Brother house.

Over the years, Davina McCall, Emma Willis and former winner Brian Dowling have all held the all important job of hosting the series.

And former housemates who have gone on the achieve enduring celebrity status include This Morning presenters Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson and the late Jade Goody.

Big Brother made a huge impact when it first hit the small screens all over the UK in 2000. This year, ITV has confirmed there is a welfare package on offer for all of the housemates taking part on the show.

And before the launch show began presenters Odudu and Best reached out to viewers on social media appealing to them to "Be kind" to the housemates.

Odudu said: "Please do remember that all of our housemates are real people with real lives. If you wouldn't say anything to them in person, please don't say it online."
