The decision has been largely well-received by Big Brother fans on social media.
One fan tweeted: "AJ Odudu is *such* a good shout for Big Brother imo. Promising sign for the whole thing.
"Now they just need to make sure it's got the cross-population cast that made the first few series so great."
Another said: "Fab AJ Odudu and Will Best will present ITV's main Big Brother show and its additional live magazine series. It's a triumphant full-circle moment for AJ as she had a short-lived stint co-presenting Big Brother's Bit On The Side with Rylan for Channel 5."
One fan was excited to see Odudu get the gig: OMFG!!!!! A huge congratulations to @AJOdudu for securing the #BBUK presenting gig. Big shoes to fill following @ThisisDavina and @EmmaWillis.

Odudu said in a statement: “I’m so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I’m hosting Big Brother! I couldn't be happier. Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour - and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake.”
Best added: “I grew up with Big Brother so getting a chance to host it with my mate AJ is a dream come true. I can't wait to tell some housemates not to swear.”
The rebooted version of Big Brother will last for six weeks and air some time later in 2023.
