Casting has begun on a legendary reality series that is returning to TV screens later this year. Big Brother is looking for people from Bristol to enter the iconic house to have a chance of winning £100,000.

Now the show is looking for the next group of people to enter the house ahead of the next series. Producers want to hear from people in all walks of life who are interesting and funny characters.

Big Brother said: “Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, the legendary reality series Big Brother is returning to ITV2 and ITVX later this year and is looking for the next group of housemates to apply. We want to hear from the most interesting, funny and stand-out characters from all walks of life.

Beginning in 2000, Big Brother was an ever-present on TV until 2018 and made celebrities out of regular people including Chanelle Hayes and Jade Goody. It was revived in 2023 on ITV2 having originally been on Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Big Brother sees contestants take part in shopping tasks, eliminations and live evictions as they battle for the prize whilst their every move is watched by the public. The last series saw Jordan Sangha come out on top after six weeks inside the house, with Olivia Young in second. All applicants must be aged 18 or over when applying to be on the show. Applications close on July 31.
