Big Brother star Trish Balusa has addressed her shocking eviction from the house.
Friday night's episode saw Chanelle and Trish both being voted out of the Big Brother house, despite Trish being a huge favourite with the live crowd.
In her post-eviction interview on Big Brother: Late & Live, Trish had a chance to speculate on why she may have been evicted.
"I'm still a bit shocked because I thought everyone knew what's best for them," she joked. "I am a bit shocked, but there's a part of me that thought, you know, this is my third nomination.
"I kept saying if I was a viewer, and if I saw someone was nominated for the third time, even if I loved them, I'd started to think... this is the third time their mates are putting them up. Should I look at this a bit closely because it can't just be hating?"
AJ Odudu and Will Best also delved into the way Trish was treated by fellow housemates – which became such a strong concern for viewers that Trish's best friend had to reach out to the show's welfare team.
In troubling scenes, Trish was called "aggressive" and even encouraged not to get so involved in conflicts by other housemates.
"I feel like [the treatment] just carried that narrative of the 'angry Black woman'," she said.
Trish later added: "Why is it even when I'm being empathetic that I'm still labelled as aggressive? Why is my empathy 'aggression' to you? I feel like there was a lot of microaggression and I know because I'm very passionate, and I'm a Black woman, it's so easy to label me under the negatives of passion. That was hurtful."
Chanelle had a running conflict with Trish throughout the week, after being caught in conversation with Olivia seemingly suggesting she'd nominate Trish as revenge for Jenkin going on the block as part of the Hunger Games task.
The post-eviction interview wasn't the first time Big Brother had addressed housemates' treatment of Trish, as hosts AJ and Will previously challenged Paul Blackburn when he was evicted last week.
AJ and Big Brother: Late & Live panellist Yinka Bokinni also raised the matter earlier this week, when AJ pointed out that Trish was called "aggressive" for standing up to Paul.
"It is a shame… They do keep banging that drum, don't they? She said 'bully' one time, and how many times have they labelled her 'aggressive'?" AJ pointed out. "I rest my case."
As a result of this week's troubling scenes, more than 1,000 viewer complaints have been made to broadcasting regulator Ofcom over the treatment of Trish and Noky.
Big Brother airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. Each episode is followed by Big Brother Late & Live at 10pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
