A big name chain is aiming to replace the former Pitcher and Piano bar in Sheffield city centre.

Pitcher and Piano, based in Holly Street, closed in April. Sheffield City Council has received an application to open a Cosy Club in the premises.

Cosy Club has branches all across the country. A spokesperson for Loungers, which oversees Cosy Club, said: “We have been in discussions regarding opening a Cosy Club in the Pitcher & Piano site on Holly Street, Sheffield.

“If successful, the site would open sometime this summer. We already operate Cosy Clubs in York and Leeds and we’re looking forward to opening a third location in Yorkshire.

“Should everything fall into place then we look forward to welcoming Pitcher and Piano team members from Sheffield into the Loungers family.”
