Thousands of revellers are partying on the seafront this evening.

A 50-piece orchestra is playing Ibiza dance anthems during Ibiza Proms in Hove Lawns today.

The event, which runs from 2pm until 10pm, was due to be the first event held at the new temporary performance space at Black Rock, near Brighton Marina.

But, because of delays to works, last month it was announced that the event would be moved to Hove Lawns.

The event has street food vendors and bars on site and as a gesture of goodwill, residents living near Hove Lawns were offered the chance of free tickets.

In May, Brighton and Hove City Council said the Ibiza Proms organisers would be writing to these residents in early June to make sure they know the arrangements for the event and to let them know how they can get free tickets if they would like to.
