Yahoo News 'Biggest Loser' contestant Daniel Wright has died aged 30 from leukemia
Daniel Wright, former star of American reality series The Biggest Loser, has died at the age of 30 following a battle with cancer.
The reality contestant from North Carolina appeared in seasons 7 and 8 of the NBC weight-loss contest in 2009.
He made his debut on the show aged 19 weighing over 32 stone and after being welcomed back for season 8, The Biggest Loser: Second Chances, his weight dropped to just over 18 stone.

Wright was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2017.
His death has been confirmed by friends and co-stars on social media.
Biggest Loser contestant Courtney Crozier Respess wrote on Facebook: “I am so so heartbroken to hear about Daniel Wright this morning. He has fought SO HARD during his battle with cancer & more. This man is one of the kindest people I have ever met & is a true difference maker in this world! His faith has never faded, even in the darkest of times. I am honored to have known him!!!”
Another Biggest Loser co-star Danny Cahill wrote: “Yesterday the world lost a bit of its light... Daniel’s light has always been one of Grace, encouragement, wisdom, love and honor throughout the time I have known him. And I can honestly say that because of him I am a better man.”
The news of Daniel’s death comes just days after his worried wife, Rebecca, posted a message on Facebook revealing that the star had been taken to hospital after throwing up blood.
Rebecca married Daniel after they met on the weight loss reality show.
Daniel was diagnosed with cancer after experiencing severe headaches and having difficulty walking.
While battling the disease, Daniel had 26 blood transfusions as well as multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

The Biggest Loser debuted on NBC in 2004 and ran for 17 seasons until 2016.
A reboot is currently in the works on USA Network.
