Biker dies in car crash tragedy on Welsh road

A biker has tragically died following a crash involving a car on the A483. The fatal collision happened on Saturday in mid Wales and police have appealed for witnesses.

A Dyfed Powys Police statement said: "Fatal collision. We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a motorbike and a car, in Powys.

"The collision happened on the A483 between Llanbister and Llanbadarn Fynydd (the main road between Llandrindod Wells and Newtown) at around 12.45pm today (Saturday, 25 May). The orange KTM motorcycle was travelling northbound towards Llanbadarn Fynydd when it collided with a car.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist died at the scene. His family have been informed and they are being supported by specially trained police officers.
