A motorcyclist has died after a crash on a road in Cambridgeshire on Thursday (June 27). No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the crash on Madingley Road near Coton.

Police were called at 7.21pm to reports of a crash involving a motorcyclist riding a Harley Davidson. Emergency services attended but the 61-year-old man from Papworth Everard died at the scene.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.21pm yesterday (27 June) with reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist in Madingley Road (A1303) near Coton. Emergency services attended, but the man died at the scene.

"No other vehicles are thought to have been involved. Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact the Road Policing Unit via our website." They should quote incident 496 of June 27.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called just before 7.15pm on Thursday 27 June with reports that a motorcycle has crashed on Madingley Road (A1303) near Coton. An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer vehicle and response car from the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist, an adult man, was pronounced dead at the scene."
