The re-birth of a North Wales holiday resort as it opens its gates again

A holiday resort that hit troubled times for a number of years has bounced back under new owners and a multi-million pound redevelopment. Dyserth Falls Resort and earlier Graig Park Village had once been a prominent lodge park on the busy A547 near Dyserth.

But Dyserth Falls Ltd went into liquidation in 2019. Lodges around the park were boarded up and the main showcase building at the centre of the resort closed down.

It became a sad sight on the road between Prestatyn and Rhuddlan. But Lyons Holiday Parks, based in Denbighshire, then bought the site.

They announced plans to transform the site and work first got underway in 2021. Lyons have pumped millions of pounds into the redevelopment.

The renamed Marian Resort and Spa is now fully open and taking bookings for the spring and summer. There are 80 lodges or hot tub lodges on the site.

It also includes a new on-site spa with a large indoor swimming pool with sky views and a wide collection of treatments available from massages to facials to pedicures. Guests can also enjoy a hydrotherapy bucket shower, sauna and steam room, as well as access to a brand new fully equipped 24 hour health and leisure club.

There is resort entertainment for guests with a lounge bar that overlooks the pool - as well as a cocktail bar and all-day sports bistro.

The resort is tripped to attract 20,000 visitors a year - providing a major boost to the local tourism industry.
