Sarah Ferguson found herself in the midst of an uncomfortable exchange on Wednesday's edition of Good Morning Britain when she was questioned about Prince Andrew's ongoing dispute with King Charles III.

The Duchess of York joined presenters Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis on Good Morning Britain to discuss her recent health struggles, having been diagnosed with skin cancer this year, following her previous treatment for breast cancer.

However, after a warm conversation regarding her recovery and aspirations to feature in the hit series Bridgerton on Netflix, the atmosphere shifted as the 64-year-old was probed by Martin Lewis about the reported rift between her ex-husband Prince Andrew and his brother King Charles III, reports the Mirror.

Rumours have swirled that the siblings' relationship has soured, particularly after claims that King Charles has been urging Andrew to vacate the Windsor residence he shares with Sarah. Addressing the sensitive topic, Martin cautioned his interviewee, "Bit of a dampner... obviously, you live with Prince Andrew in Royal Lodge."

Martin inquired further, "Do we know what's going on with that? " to which Sarah replied, "It's not a Debbie Downer [...] I'm a guest, for a start. I'm a very lucky guest and a very comfortable guest."

She then carefully navigated the question by saying: "I tend not to get involved in brothers' discussions and I think that's the safest place to be."

Sarah also emphasised: "Let the brothers discuss it between themselves."

Her remarks are particularly poignant given the apparent tension between King Charles and the Duke of York, as they seem to be locked in a significant disagreement over the future of the Royal Lodge.

The monarch has warned Prince Andrew that he may cut ties with him if he continues to refuse to leave the £30million mansion where he has resided for two decades, since 2003, and which he shares with his ex-wife Sarah.

King Charles has suggested that Andrew relocate to the smaller Frogmore Cottage, amidst whispers that Prince William, as the heir apparent, is interested in moving into the property. Prince Andrew was relieved of his Royal duties following his resignation due to his association with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

As the one overseeing the Royal household's finances, King Charles has contemplated limiting funds, including Andrew's £3million security bill, if he remains at the Lodge.

Prince Andrew, once a favourite among Royal enthusiasts, experienced a fall from grace in 2022 after his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein came to light.

Virginia Giuffre, a woman who disclosed that she had been trafficked and abused by Epstein from the age of 16, alleged that part of her ordeal involved being loaned out to influential men, including Prince Andrew.
