Yahoo News Black Lightning unveils first look at Jennifer Pierce suited up as Lightning
Black Lightning has unveiled its first look at actress China Anne McLain suited up as superhero Lightning, and its fair to say she looks pretty amazing.
The character, also known as Jennifer Pierce, is the daughter of the titular superhero, and becomes the third member of the Pierce family to go out and fight crime.
The CW show released the first picture of Lightning on Twitter, which you can take a gander at below:

The show is currently in its second season, and kicked off with a big twist as Jefferson Pierce revealed his alter-ego of Black Lightning to one of his closest confidantes.
His identity was foiled by Inspector Henderson, which led to the superhero taking his mask off in front of him and causing strain in their relationship.
"You can imagine I wanted to deal with it from a real place," showrunner Salim Akil said at the time. "He's trying to deal with it emotionally because he doesn't know he feels about [it].
"Well, he did know how he felt about Black Lightning. In the first season, it's kind of like, 'I like you. [If] I don't, I'll shoot'. Now that it's his friend, you know, he's hurt, and I wanted to play those emotions. So, that's what you'll see - them trying to repair their relationship."
Black Lightning airs on The CW in the US and Netflix in the UK.
