Blackburn Rovers college students offered free season tickets

Blackburn Rovers said students enrolling at their sports college this year will receive complimentary season tickets.

Blackburn Rovers Sports College is based in the Darwen End of Ewood Park and is open to anyone aged between 15 and 17.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust CEO, Gary Robinson, said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance our students’ experience at Blackburn Rovers Sports College.

“We are delighted to be offering all students enrolled for the new academic year, starting in September 2024, a season ticket to watch John Eustace’s team at Ewood Park."

Courses at the college include BTEC Sport Levels one, two, and three, a foundation degree in sports coaching and development and a BA (Hons) in football development and administration.

In June, Blackburn Rovers Sports College students went on an educational trip to Barcelona. The group visited RCD Espanyol’s stadium, played sport and learnt about the history of the city including seeing various famous landmarks.

“We run high-intensity training sessions, led by our UEFA A and Elite Youth A coaches, combined with VEO 3.0 analysis. Our programme will offer an unparalleled development opportunity for students."

Max, a first year student at Blackburn Rovers Sports College, added: "I'm so excited that we will be able to use the newest VEO technology and work towards trying to get a scholarship to study in the USA. Blackburn Rovers Sports College provide a fantastic platform and it could mean so many amazing opportunities are put my way in the future.”
