Is there a sisterhood of this trendy pants style going on? Blake Lively just wore the breezy bottoms celebrities keep wearing, so we’re starting to think so.

Last Wednesday, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress went for a stroll with husband Ryan Reynolds in New York City. For the occasion, she opted for some black wide-leg pants that were movement-friendly (they ebbed fluidly with each step) and in the same silhouette that’s clearly been sweeping more than just Lively away: Oprah, Jennifer Lawrence, and Katie Holmes were all wide-leg pant wearers this summer.

You can also wear them during chilly seasons when styled correctly. Lively added some warmth to her look with a purple sweater and some pastel closed-toe shoes, specifically sneakers, rather than summer sandals. To finish off the look, she added round sunglasses and a multi-colored bag.

Amazon

$34

These Tronjori high-waisted pants are an Amazon best-seller with more than 10,000 five-star ratings. They may be even breezier than Lively’s pair as a result of their palazzo-style draping. The pleat details in the front, which one shopper said lie “nicely over [their] lower tummy” and have a “slimming effect,” also match the ones that Lively’s appear to have.

A plain black pair is a great base for any outfit, but they’re also available in a wide variety of fun colors and patterns, including this striped pair that’s similar to ones Reese Witherspoon just wore — and they’re under $40.

The Amalthea Pants from Showpo are made from soft-to-touch jersey material, and they also feature a buttonless design, meaning getting dressed in the morning is even easier. More for lounging than working in the office, they could be styled for any average day with a classic denim jacket, a striped button-down, or a toasty cardigan.

Everlane

$98

If you prefer structure to swingy fabric, consider these wrinkle-resistant pants from Everlane. With details that are both similar and different to Lively’s pair, including the pintuck details that resemble pleats and the tighter-fitting legs, respectively, the pants work for more than just strolls around the city.

“This is about as close as you can get to wearing sweats to work,” one shopper praised. And even though they do stretch out slightly when you wear them daily, according to a second shopper, “They also are a great piece to wear from morning (work) to night (going out) to bedtime (pajamas).”
