Blake Shelton often falls asleep before midnight on New Year's Eve

Blake Shelton often falls asleep before the turn of the New Year if he isn't working.

The 47-year-old country star is slated to perform alongside the likes of Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce during New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash, while his wife Gwen Stefani is set to perform at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

However, if they weren't working on the celebratory evening, they would probably be asleep before the ball drops.

"If we're at home during New Year's Eve, we're probably going to bed before it even happens," Blake told Entertainment Tonight.

Blake and Gwen tied the knot in 2021. The Sweet Escape singer, 54, shares three children, Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, nine, with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Elsewhere in the interview, the former Voice judge revealed that he hopes to cut down on his alcohol consumption in 2024.

"I haven't managed to stop drinking yet," Blake confessed. "Even cutting back has been hard. I mean, it's a resolution though. And I'll say it again right now - that's my New Year's resolution. To either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let's just say I said it."
