A children's festival, Gloworm, featuring TV presenters, characters and musical tribute acts is set to take place near Liverpool this weekend.

The event is one of three consecutive events taking place at Walton Hall and Gardens in Warrington from June 21 to 23. Activities begin on Friday with the sold-out Could Be Real Tribute Festival, showcasing acts such as The Oasis Experience, Attic Monkeys, Sham Fender, The Cheatles and more.

Saturday, June 22, will see the Daresbury Festival, with performances from Soul II Soul, Craig Charles, K-Klass live featuring Bobbi, Allister Whitehead and Rowetta. Gloworm, a family festival, then takes centre stage on Sunday, promising 'an unforgettable day of laughter, music, and entertainment'.

The line-up includes CBeebies' Maddie Moate, CBBC's Nigel Clarke and the legendary Paul Chuckle with his Chuckle Vision Party. Tributes to chart-topping sensations Dua Lipa and Coldplay are also on the agenda, along with entertainment from Sublime Science and Jo Jingles.

For the little ones, there's an opportunity to meet dinosaurs and their trainers, as well as popular Aussie dog Bluey and other characters including superheroes and princesses, reports the Manchester Evening News. Rugby Tots and Pop Up Play Village will also be featured, allowing youngsters to role play as everything from firefighters or builders, to chefs or police officers.

Festival director Richard Walpole expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, saying: "We are thrilled to welcome Paul Chuckle and his Chuckle Vision Party to Gloworm Festival at Walton Hall and Gardens. Paul's iconic comedy and timeless appeal make him the perfect addition to our line-up, and we know that families of all ages will be delighted by his performance."

He added: "Combined with the talent of Maddie Moate, Nigel Clarke, and our other fantastic performers, Gloworm at Warrington promises to be a day filled with joy and excitement for the whole family."

Tickets for the festival start at around £30 and are available for booking on the official website. Attendees should note that fairground rides will incur additional charges on the day.
