Body found in woods during search for missing Scots man
A body has been discovered in a woodland area during the search for a missing Scots man.
The discovery was made near Forth in Lanarkshire at 4.35pm on Sunday, May 5.
Formal identification is still to take place, however, the family of missing Robert Dickson, 35, have been informed.
Robert was reported missing from the Halmyre Street area of the city on Saturday, May 4.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.35pm on Sunday 5 May 2024, the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area near Forth in Lanarkshire.
"Formal identification is still to take place however the family of Robert Dickson, who had been reported missing from Edinburgh, have been informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
