Body of man found in Torquay overgrowth

The body of a man has been found in overgrowth in Torquay. This came after reports of three police cars being in the area yesterday, Wednesday 3 July.

Police were called at around 3.45 pm whilst the PSCO prevented access to the rear of properties fronting Lower Warberry Road via the footpath off Stitchill Road.

A cordon and a scene guard were put in place. Devon and Cornwall Police revealed that the death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 3.45pm on Wednesday 3 July following reports of a body located in overgrowth on Lower Warberry Road, Torquay. A cordon and a scene guard were put in place.

"The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. The family of a 32-year-old man from Torquay has been informed of the discovery."
