Bombshell news as McVitie's confirm which side of their chocolate biscuits is the top

It’s one of the big questions of our time: is the chocolate on a McVitie’s chocolate biscuit on the top or the bottom?

You thought it was on the top, right? Well you were so wrong.

This shock revelation came about after a HobNob fan invited the biscuit manufacturer to settle a disagreement via their Facebook page.

Keely Marie Perryman probably didn’t realise the enormity of what she was asking when she posed the question: “Please can you help us solve a debate in work today.. which is the top of this yummy McVitie’s chocolate HobNob?? The chocolatey side or the nobby side??”

McVite’s came right back with the bombshell announcement: “Our Hobnobs goes through a reservoir of chocolate, so it’s on the bottom!”

Shocking stuff. It’s not just HobNobs fans that need to get their heads round this unbelievable news – lovers of Chocolate Digestives and Jaffa Cakes are in the same boat.

Seems Keely was on Team Choccy Bottom however, announcing: “This has made my week.”

Her colleagues were predictably dumbfounded by the news though, with Jay Bush saying: “I can’t believe this… my world’s just fallen apart.”
