This Boozy Brit Was Pictured Taking A Very Dangerous Disco Nap In Spain

Firefighters were called to rescue a boozed-up British tourist after he took a dangerous disco nap on the arch of a narrow Spanish bridge.

The man, in his 40s, scaled the steel structure on top of the Bridge of the Germans in Malaga after one too many cervezas at the southern city’s annual summer fiesta.

He perched himself precariously on the narrow ledge, before nodding off.

Concerned passersby called cops at 2 a.m. on Saturday after fearing he’d fall down.

Officers arrived on the scene and, amusingly, initially failed to find him.

But they then looked up at the arches, and discovered him outstretched and fast asleep, reports Diario Sur.

They failed to wake him up and called in fire crews, who brought him down in a cherry picker.

The man, who was said to be “babbling,” was arrested for disturbing public disorder, reports La Opinion de Malaga.

Germany gave the bridge - known locally as the Puente de los Alemanes - to the city in 1909.

It commemorates the locals who waded into the Guadalmedina river to save German sailors after the SMS Gneisenau ran aground in 1900.
