Boy, 15, 'raped woman in her forties at knifepoint in London park’

A teenage boy has been arrested and charged with the knifepoint rape and robbery of a woman in her forties.

The 15-year-old allegedly attacked the woman in Sutcliffe Park in Kidbrooke, south-east London, on April 19 in broad daylight.

The teenager, who is from Lee Green in south-east London but cannot be named due to his age, is alleged to have threatened another member of public with a knife in the same park on April 19.

The victim was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged and is now being supported by specialist officers.

The teenage suspect is also charged with robbing a woman at knifepoint in Handen Road, Lee, south-east London, three days earlier.

The teenager was arrested on Tuesday by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation & Child Abuse Command.

He will appear in custody at Bromley Youth Court later today.
