Boy, 15, taken to hospital after being stabbed in Woolwich

A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Woolwich.

It happened in Wilmount Street near Woolwich New Road just before 6.55pm on June 21.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a boy with a “puncture wound”.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish how the boy sustained his injury.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 18:54hrs on Friday, 21 June to reports of an injured male on Wilmount Street, SE18.

“Officers attended. The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment to a puncture wound.

“His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries continue to establish how he came by his injury.

“There have been no arrests.”
