Boy injured after falling from quad bike in Bransholme

A boy was injured after falling off a quad bike in Hull yesterday, police have said.

One concerned witness, who did not want to be named, said they feared a person had been struck by a vehicle and was lying injured in the road. But Humberside Police said the only casualty was a boy who had fallen from a quad bike while riding down Bodmin Road in Bransholme.

Luckily, his injuries were understood to not be life-threatening. Photographs from the scene showed three police cars in attendance, with two of them blocking Bodmin Road.

Six police officers and members of the public waited with the boy until medical help arrived.

In a statement today, Humberside Police said: "We were called at around 5pm yesterday evening, Sunday 19 May, following reports that a boy had fallen from a quad bike on Bodmin Road in Hull.

"Emergency services attended and the boy was treated for injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening."
