Boys, 14 and 16, arrested after teenager stabbed in Radcliffe

Two teenage boys, aged just 14 and 16, have been arrested after reports of a stabbing.

On Thursday, June 27, police officers were called to reports that a 16-year-old boy had been stabbed near the junction of Spring Lane and Butterworth Street in Radcliffe.

According to GMP, the boy’s injuries are not life changing or life threatening.

Police arrested two teenage boys the following day (Friday, June 28) on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The boys remain in police custody for questioning.

 

Now, police are appealing for the public’s help in their investigation.

On Facebook, GMP’s Bury North team said: “Police are following several lines of enquiry but are keen to speak to anyone who may have information, or any CCTV or mobile phone footage.

“We’re also aware that members of the public bravely intervened during the attack. If that was you, please get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 8078, or 101, quoting log 2251 of 27/6/24.

“Information can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
