The Boys spin-off Gen V finally gets launch date
It's been announced that The Boys spin-off series Gen V premieres on Friday, September 29.
Swapping the twisted superheroism of Homelander for the first-ever crop of Compound V users, Gen V chronicles a school of young and competitive crazies.
As they put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, they learn that ambition comes with sacrifice – and that the gulf between right and wrong is not as clear as they once thought.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina duo Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo play a "blood manipulator" and "metal bender"; The Staircase's Patrick Schwarzenegger is Golden Boy; Dexter: New Blood star Clancy Brown is Rich Brink, and The Boys favourites Jessie T Usher and Jensen Ackles reprise A-Train and Soldier Boy.
Teasing what fans can expect from Gen V, co-creator Seth Rogen recently told Empire Magazine the writing staff didn't hold back.
"Gen V has some really crazy sh*t in it. The fact that they're in college, they're a little younger, makes it more shocking maybe.

"In general, if you're making an R-rated thing, they let you do whatever you want, unless there's some real legal thing that they think you might be bumping against.
"With The Boys, maybe it requires one extra five-minute phone call, where they're like, 'Really?', and you're like, 'Really'. There are other things you're on hours of phone calls about that are so much less interesting than that," he explained.
The first three episodes of Gen V will be released on September 29, with following episodes each Friday after that.
The Boys seasons 1-3 are streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 is in production. Gen V premieres September 29 on the same platform.
