Bradford Bulls sign Super League halfback as recruitment frenzy continues

Bradford Bulls have completed the signing of London Broncos halfback James Meadows, Rugby League Live understands. The playmaker is believed to have put pen to paper on a deal with the Odsal club and will link up with the Bulls in 2025.

The 25-year-old established himself as a strong performer in the Championship, starting his career with the Broncos but going on to play more recently for Batley Bulldogs. It was at Mount Pleasant where Meadows really found his feet, playing regularly for the West Yorkshire club during two seasons at the club. He was part of the Batley side that reached the Million Pound Game in 2022, and last year he scored 17 tries in 31 appearances. That saw him earn a Super League opportunity with London, playing 15 times so far this season, scoring two tries and producing two assists.

It's yet another signing for Bradford, who have been on a signing spree of late, with their most recent addition coming in the shape of former prop Nathan Mason, who has signed an 18-month contract. The Bulls are also believed to have signed Halifax Panthers halfback Joe Keyes for next season while Jordan Lilley is under contract. Lee Gaskell is expected to depart.

The Bulls are currently in a strong position in the race for a play-off spot. Eamon O'Carroll's side are currently fourth in the Championship, just two points behind second-placed Sheffield Eagles. They have recently signed a number of overseas players, with Hull FC's Franklin Pele among them.
