Bob Odenkirk has given an exciting update on the top secret Breaking Bad film.

In 2018, reports claimed that the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, was making a film sequel centred on Aaron Paul’s character Jesse Pinkman.

Odenkirk – who played Saul Goodman in the series and is the lead star of spinoff prequel Better Call Saul – has revealed that not only are those reports true, but the film has been completed.

"I don’t know what people know and don’t know,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is.”

He added: They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

Odenkirk revealed he’s currently shooting the fifth season of Better Call Saul. Teasing new episodes, the actor said: "Everything’s on fire, and it’s just burning down around us.”

There’s no word on whether he’ll appear in the Jesse Pinkman film.

Bryan Cranston, who starred as Walter White in Breaking Bad, teased a possible appearance in the sequel, while also commenting on what he hopes will happen to Pinkman in the film.

A new TV show in Egypt is facing criticism for seeming to plagiarise direct scenes and quotes from the hit AMC series.
