Brian McFadden and his fiancée Danielle Parkinson have announced they are expecting a baby together.
It comes after the pair sadly suffered two miscarriages after seeking IVF treatment when they failed to conceive naturally.
Now over the three month mark Parkinson, a former PE teacher, has told OK! she feels "lucky" their third attempt worked.
"It does [feel like a miracle] but I feel awful saying that, as I’ve had so many messages on Instagram.
"The IVF community is so lovely and I’ve heard real traumatic stories from people who have been trying for 10 years, people who have had eight-plus miscarriages, so I feel we got lucky on our third attempt," she shared.
It is the couple's first child together, as McFadden shares daughters Molly, 19, and Lilly, 17, with ex-wife Kerry Katona.
The 40-year-old said his daughters were "excited" as they had gone through "all the highs and lows" with him and Parkinson, 39, through the unsuccessful IVF attempts.
"They’ve been through this before – they’ve pretty much helped to raise their brother and sisters at home. Both of them were pretty much in tears when they saw the scan, because they’ve been on the roller coaster with us," he said.
The Westlife star's elder children already have two half half sisters and one half brother from Katona's subsequent marriages. The 40-year-old welcomed son Max, 12, and daughter Heidi, 13, with ex Mark Croft and daughter Dylan-Jorge, six, with late third ex-husband George Kay.
McFadden got engaged to Parkinson last year, revealing the news in a lowkey engagement announcement. He was previously married to Vogue Williams for five years from 2012 to 2017.
Katona also recently became engaged again after boyfriend Ryan Mahoney popped the question earlier this year.
