Yahoo News Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan shares behind-the-scenes look at wedding transformation
Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan has shared a behind-the-scenes look at her transformation for the wedding scene.
The actor was the lead in the third season of the Netflix show as Penelope’s relationship with Colin (Luke Newton) took centre stage.
The seventh episode, ‘Joining of Hands’, saw the couple tie the knot despite some rifts in their relationship, and Coughlan has now taken to Instagram to showcase some of the work that goes on behind-the-scenes.

“I’ve heard a lot of you are doing a Season 3 Eps 1-8 Marathon this weekend so in celebration of that I wanted to share the miracle transformation that happens at work when I show up looking like a creature from a swamp and they turn me into a Bridgerton Bride, actual magic!,” she wrote.
“Magicians in question @jessie_hmua @faridaghwedar @johnglasercostume,” added the actor, with the post including a video as she flicked from normal clothes to a stunning wedding dress.
The post received many comments from fans, with one follower writing: “That dress is yours! The dress is beautiful but more important, you look beautiful in it. They should let you keep it.”

“I’ve been watching episodes 1-8 all week. Can’t get enough of Polin. Best couple ever,” added a second follower, with another writing: “I love you equally in both looks. The most beautiful woman in the world!!! Also of course we are watching 1-8 again!!!”
With the third season now concluded, Coughlan recently addressed a rumour that certain scenes had been cut, with the actor reassuring fans as she said: “Aaah this is just a rumour! I think you got all the Polin we had but there's lots of BTS still to share.”
Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
