Bridgerton star's gay drama epic releases first trailer
Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey and American Horror Story's Matt Bomer star in the first trailer for Showtime's upcoming gay drama, Fellow Travelers.
Based on Thomas Mallon's novel of the same name, the miniseries will chronicle the volatile romance between Tim Laughlin (Bailey) and Hawkins Fuller (Bomer), as they attempt to navigate the anti-LGBTQ+ obstacles of society over the course of four decades.
The new teaser offers viewers some steamy first glimpses of Tim and Hawkins' relationship, which is set against a backdrop of McCarthyism, the Vietnam War and the AIDS crisis.

Recently teasing what fans can expect from the series, which is created by Ron Nyswaner, Bailey told Vanity Fair: "The nuance of a complicated, volatile queer relationship is the power balance. That is what is amazing about Tim and Hawk. Every single sex scene is a meticulous examination of power."
"There's a level of trust and intimacy that's even more valuable when society is against you," Bomer added. "You keep your secrets together."
Bailey is set to reprise his role as Anthony in the upcoming third season of Bridgerton, which will this time focus on the blossoming romance between Anthony's brother Colin and Penelope Featherington.
