Brig o'Doon House Hotel gears up to re-open after stunning makeover
One of Ayrshire’s most famous hotels and fairytale wedding venues has announced it is to re-open next week after a stunning makeover.
The Brig o’ Doon House Hotel, in Alloway, will reopen on Thursday, May 16, after several months of renovations.
And members of the public can today enjoy a sneak peek at what to expect with these amazing images of the new interiors and exteriors.
The RAD Hotel Group, who took ownership of the venue in October 2022, said on social media: “After months of renovations Brig o’ Doon House Hotel is finally reopening to the public on Thursday the 16th of May.
“We have been working incredibly hard to ensure our venue is as magical inside as it is outside. With Brig o’ Doon’s historical past on our minds, we have incorporated traditional charm with contemporary interiors and luxurious finishings, ensuring the Brig o’ Doon House Hotel is second to none.”
The makeover includes:
* renovations to their Executive Bedrooms to feature the venue’s “historical charm” with an “opulent finish”
* addition of a luxurious Honeymoon Suite, perfect for those special moments
* extended the wedding guests' exclusive Garden Lounge Bar to reveal sweeping views of the iconic Brig o’ Doon whilst allowing for a larger exclusive social area
* introduced a new menu which showcases Scottish cuisine, featuring the best local produce
This latest work comes just months after previous improvements were made at the hotel.
In July last year, Ayrshire Live told how the owners, Robert and Vivien Kyle, from the RAD Group, unveiled the completion of the £500,000 grand ballroom and garden lounge makeover at the wedding venue.
