Brisbane Airport Battered by Tornado as Thunderstorms Hit Queensland

The airport in Brisbane, Queensland, was battered by a tornado on October 22 as thunderstorms rolled over the city.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology confirmed the tornado just after 1 pm local time, adding that “very dangerous thunderstorms” were impacting areas across the south-east of the state.
