Britain’s Got Talent Star Calum Scott Signs US Record Deal

Cast your minds back to 2015′s Britain’s Got Talent competition, and you might remember Calum Scott blowing the judges away with his incredible singing voice - A voice that even persuaded Simon Cowell to press that all-important Golden Buzzer.

Having initially impressed with his version of Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’, which was later released as a single, Calum eventually came sixth in the grand final.

Now, the singer has announced that he’s signed a deal with Capitol Records over in the US, with a source saying it’s a ‘dream come true’ for him.

Sharing his exciting news on Facebook, Calum wrote: “SO stoked to announce and can finally confirm that I’m now a SIGNED RECORDING ARTIST to Capitol Records, Universal Music Group. Thank you to all involved - the journey starts now!! X”.

He later added: “I want to thank everyone for their messages of support - being signed is incredible but having you guys to share this with is everything”.

A source told Mirror Celeb: “This is a dream come true for Calum and he has a great team around him now. He worked hard for quite a few years on the local music scene before entering BGT and he’s been dying to reveal the news since he signed the deal.”

Calum will also be working with Virgin EMI in the UK to build his fan base here.
