Yahoo News Brits only have a 1 in 9 chance of securing Glastonbury tickets for 2024
Glastonbury may have a huge reputation for their incredibly hard-to-get tickets, but new data has revealed that Glastonbury festival isn’t the UK’s most exclusive. However, it still isn’t easy, with Brits searching for tickets only having a one in nine chance of securing one for 2024.Glastonbury 2024 is set to be bigger and better than ever, with two out of the three headliners confirmed to be female artists – Dua Lipa and SZA. However, the full line-up is yet to be revealed.
While digital tickets are becoming increasingly common, Ticketmaster has reported that those over the age of 34, and those who book their tickets late, are less likely to prefer digital tickets.
Over-34s account for around 50 per cent of festival goers, with those who are most likely to book tickets late (16- to 19-year-olds) accounting for nine per cent of attendees. This suggests that printed tickets still remain a firm favourite among some festival goers.
With the Glastonbury tickets resale date is just around the corner, here are some of the most popular festivals in the UK to determine which are the most difficult, and easiest to secure tickets for, according to TonerGiant.
Which UK festivals are the most difficult to secure tickets for?
All Points East was found to be the most difficult festival to secure tickets for, with Brits having just a one in 13 chance of getting their hands on a ticket.
Glastonbury ranked in fourth position, where Brits have a one in nine chance of being among 210,000 lucky revellers.

Which UK festivals are the easiest to secure tickets for?
Radio 1’s Big Weekend was found to be the easiest festival to secure tickets for, with around half of Brits searching predicted to bag tickets.
Kendal Calling followed in second, where one in four searchers are predicted to get their hands on a ticket.

Commenting on the findings, Stuart Deavall, from TonerGiant, said: “With Glastonbury tickets set to go on sale soon, we wanted to investigate which festivals are the most difficult (and easiest) to secure tickets for. We found that All Points East festival is the most difficult to secure tickets for, where Brits have just a one in 13 chance. In comparison, Brits hoping to secure Glastonbury tickets have a one in 9 chance – so the competition may not be as fierce as it seems.
“Many festivals recommend that you print off your e-tickets as this can help to ensure a seamless admittance, in the unfortunate event that your phone loses battery at the entry gates. To make sure you're festival-ready, we would also recommend printing off contact numbers of those in your group, as well as a meeting point on the map, should your group split up or you get lost.”
