Brixton shooting: Man, 22, rushed to hospital after being gunned down on estate

A 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a shooting in Brixton, in south London, Metropolitan Police have said.

Officers raced to Carrara Close in the Somerleyton Estate at around 1.45am and found the man with gun shot wounds.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains but his condition is not considered to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing, a police statement added.

Anyone with information or was in the area at the time of the incident and can assist the investigation is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD Ref: 590/21JUN.
